Nasri Signs for Man City

In what seems like one of the longest transfer sagas of the summer Samir Nasri, the Arsenal midfielder, has just agreed personal terms with Manchester City. The player just needs to come through a medical before he is paraded before fans.

In a deal worth a reputed £25m, Nasri is the second high profile player to walk out of Arsenal within the week, after Cesc Fabregas moved to Barcelona. It remains to be seen who the Gunners will bring in to replace the player, but a deal must be done soon with the transfer deadline fast approaching.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger stated:

“We’ll see what we can do – we are working very hard on the transfer market,”

Fabregas signs for Barcelona

In perhaps one of the longest running transfer sagas of 2011 Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas has just put pen to paper in a deal with Barcelona.

Since being ‘forced’ to don a Barcelona shirt after Spain’s triumph in the 2010 World Cup, it was only a matter of time before Fabregas joined the Catalan giants. And after much lingering transfer speculation and a hastily arranged medical last night the deal was sealed.

It seems much of the dilly dallying was due to the complexity of the deal which will see Fabregas himself contributing to the transfer fee to the tune of 1m Euros. We hope Fabregas does well at the club he played for as a boy.

Bebe injured playing for Portugal under-21s

Bebe, the Manchester United winger, will be sidelined for six months after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament while playing for the Portugal under-21 team.

The winger had made a slow start to his Man-u career since joining the Champions from Vitoria de Guimaraes in 2010. He had actually been sent to Besiktas on a season long loan deal in June to get the player some experience and match fitness, something he won’t now be able to do.

The player is expected to have surgery on the injured knee as soon as both clubs decide where his rehabilitation should take place.

Wesley Sneijder signs for Manchester…

We thought we’d beat all the tabloids and bring you this breaking new story.

WESLEY SNEIJER SIGNS FOR MANCHESTER…

Ok, we admit, we don’t know which Manchester team he has signed for yet, but as the most talked about transfer of the summer keeps rolling on we ask ourselves why is he such hot property at the moment?

In 2010, the attacking midfielder was named by UEFA as the midfielder of the season and by Fifa as one of the best three midfielders in the world in the same year. He’s also a dead-ball specialist with some of his best goals coming from free kicks. He’s also scored 84 goals from 326 games, not a bad tally for a midfielder.

Which Manchester team will he join? We’ll have to wait and see.
