Luckily for the reds, Carlos Tevez is back in Argentina recovering from an injury and is doubtful for both this weeks Premier League match with Wolves and next weekends game with West Brom . I think that both Tevez and Rooney will manage to shake of their injuries in time for the Manchester derby in November. What a mouth watering prospect that game will be if both teams are full strength.
]]>I’m not expecting wholesale changes straight away – you can’t ditch 20 odd players and start from scratch but I have to say that the future of English football looks very worrying. Besides the emerging talent of Adam Johnson of Manchester City, I think we’ve got very little in terms of new top class talent to offer. England should qualify for the finals, but again, it’ll be Spain, Holland and Germany who succeed before the “golden generation” retires for good.
]]>Watching the game on Sky Sports yesterday, there was a comment that Arsenal WERE dangerous last season with their formidable partnership between Van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor, now of Manchester City. They brushed aside AC Milan in the Champions League, and were a team that were nearly perfect, bar maybe 1 or 2 signings. Bring on the summer transfer window at the start of the season and what did they do? That’s right, they sold Adebayor and didn’t recruit anyone as a worthy replacement.
Arsene Wenger is a great manager, but I still feel that he has a stubborn streak that is leaving his side a little short when it comes to challenging for the Premier League crown. Hopefully my words won’t come back an haunt me.
So who will win the league this year? My bet in on the winner of the Manchester United vs Chelsea game at Old Trafford on 3rd April this year.

Terry’s wife Toni Terry is currently in Dubai with their twins following the allegations. Capello is is keen to get crisis talks out of the way so he can concentrate on England’s build up to the World Cup in South Africa this summer.
]]>Fifa have declared that it is up to the Togo national team what the players can be released to go back to their domestic clubs after their team bus was ambushed killing three people. Rumours are that Adebayor could be back at Eastland’s by the weekend and ready to play. I hope he remembers to take his arsenal shirt off before he gets there though!
